Meet The Team
— from Aditya Kumar Jha
Not too long ago, someone in my own family—my brother—was diagnosed with celiac disease.
A condition many people in India still don't know exists. He became severely allergic to gluten, and suddenly, every meal turned into a careful investigation. I watched my parents read the back of every packaged food label. Every ingredient. Every additive. Every trace element.
Because one mistake could cause him pain for days.
It made me realize something simple—but powerful: In India, most people don't have access to safe, clear, and immediate health information.
We rely on word of mouth, rushed doctor visits, and random Google searches. Worse, I saw people around me taking wrong medicines, unaware of the side effects—because no one told them. And in the chaos of the healthcare system—filled with both incredible doctors and, unfortunately, some unethical practices—I saw people getting trapped.
So I decided to build something.
Not a startup.
Not an app.
But a promise.
A promise that you should always be able to:
- Check your symptoms safely
- Understand your medicines clearly
- Know if a food ingredient could harm you
- Learn your medical rights
- And soon… even track your wellness, fitness, and mental health
All for free.
This is why Chikitsa exists.
Because health shouldn't depend on how much money you have. It should depend on how much you care—and how much I care, as the builder.
And I do.
Chikitsa is just getting started. And I promise you—it's being built with heart. Because health should be free.
